Maple Ridge Pays Homage

Vancouver Vancouver

Congratulations to the residents of this wonderful town in Greater Vancouver!  As the City’s Sewer rehabilitation project winds down today, the traffic on 124 Ave should begin to free up.  Ideally making your travel time improve.  This is just in time for the City’s celebration as its flag turns 50 years young.  The community of Maple Ridge will come together on July 1st to commemorate this event and take pride in the Canadian spirit on a great Canada Day.

Something else to mark on your calendars: later in the month of July, the 28th-30thPerma-Liner Industries has a celebration all its own and we’d love to see you!!  We’re having our Open House in the Tampa Bay area and it’s sure to be a great time.  We’ll have our excellent staff here to answer all of your questions about Cured-in-Place Pipeline products and our state of the art trenchless technology.  Come out and see live demonstrations, share friendly conversations and gain information.  Meals will be provided.  Please register at no cost: info@perma-liner.com or 1-866-336-2568.

Here are some fun facts just for kicks and giggles:

  • The first electric streetlights in Vancouver were lit on Aug. 8, 1887.
  • All of the grey squirrels in Stanley Park today are descended from eight pairs of grey squirrels given to Vancouver by New York City in 1909.
  • Sliced bread came to Vancouver in 1937.
